The Aisan Spirit
Because we handle functional parts that directly lead to the "running, turning, and stopping" of cars, there is no compromise in our MONOZUKURI. As a manufacturer, it is obvious that quality comes first, and we have continued to make untiring efforts to create products to be satisfied by customers. We share the spirit of "Creating quality," and by cooperating with each other beyond our department. We will continue to pursue MONOZUKURI without any compromise. We build up a product by occasionally clashing with each other and piling on discussions. This is also a common approach to the development of human resources.

Simultaneous Engineering
While we are expected to shorten the development period, we have focused on "Simultaneous Development" for product development and production engineering. In close collaboration with other departments and by incorporating the perspective of an "easy-to-make structure" from the design stage, we have achieved to remarkably shorten the period from development to mass production. These activities lead to the improvement of development efficiency, as well as various synergistic effects, such as CO2 reduction and the establishment of lines for multiple types of items.

Fundamental Technology
A number of fundamental technologies that Aisan has cultivated. Our patents are very diverse and among them have been in use for a long time in various products in every country. We are creating more added value with modularization though integrating fundamental technologies and electricity/electronic field technologies, and by developing control programs to add to systemization.

Diverse processing methods
With a variety of processing methods from raw shape material production technology, such as aluminum die casts, resin formation and forging, to high precision processing and assembling, Aisan has established consistently advanced production technologies. Furthermore, important core technologies, knowledge, and know-how are stored in-house. They have led to MONOZUKURI with high profitability, quality and efficiency.

Innovative processing method
Aisan has adopted a semi-solid metal casting process (using ADC12 material) for the production of MIRAI’s hydrogen supply unit.
The supply unit for hydrogen, commonly produced by die casting, requires a high level of airtightness.
We have succeeded in improving the airtightness by switching to a semi-solid metal casting process where semi-solid aluminum (i.e., aluminum in a partially molten state) is injected into the die. Aisan will keep honing its MONOZUKURI skills to support next-gen vehicles.

Innovative assembly line
Innovative assembly lines aiming for remarkable improvements in productivity. In assemble lines for brushless fuel pumps, automated lines which can wind coils with a high space factor were established. The technology for winding with a high space factor has achieved increased output power for fuel pumps, which accounts for approximately 30% of the power consumption of automobiles as well as reducing their weight, and contributes to reducing the environmental burden.

Reliability evaluation tests
Established "Hirose Technical Center" in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, which will be a base for research and development. By putting together reliability evaluation test facilities for all products developed and produced by our company, we have achieved further improvement to quality and efficiency in development. By centrally controlling the facilities using computers, they also support continuous operation over long periods, which is essential for durability evaluations.

Design reviews
DR (Design Reviews) are carried out in each phase from product planning to design, production preparation, and sales services. Each department states their own opinion from their own standpoint and evaluations and improvements from various angles are made beforehand, leading to a build-up in quality to something more reliable.

QC circle
As one part of company-wide quality control activity, we promote QC circle activity, in which a small number of people carry out quality control activities within their workplace, leading to "further improvement in quality control." An in-house presentation is held every year as an opportunity to introduce the results of the activities. Solidarity is built through team activities, and improving workplace stimulation and motivation is what we are aiming for.

Developing a pride in "Me, a member of Aisan"
The thing we value the most in management resources is the human resources. We believe that "employees are our wealth / treasure. An educational environment has been organized where each person can develop to become a professional through new employee training, the brother system, manner training, practical workplace training, OJT, and QC education. A workplace environment in which everyone is aware of and has pride in being "a member of Aisan" and can display 120% of their abilities leads to MONOZUKURI, where product development beyond departments and comprehensive ability of Aisan is demonstrated.

Global Training Center
Sales rate in overseas has exceeded 50%, and with sales promotion carried out worldwide in the future, the development of "Global human resources," who can play active roles all over the world is a pressing need. We also poured our energy into the development of local human resources in overseas and conducted training in Japan. It is expected that they bring high level technology to each plant and practice it in their workplace.

Aisan Academy
In 1957, Aisan Academy was established with the mission of "Developing excellent skilled workers that support MONOZUKURI in Aisan". It is located within the premises of Aisan headquarters as an authorized vocational training school in the office, based on the Human Resources Development Promotion Act. Human resources are developed through a curriculum focusing on mental and physical education that develops respect for humanity and loyalty to the company, as well as the education for acquiring knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary in workplace. Many graduates are currently taking a core role in Aisan group, and their opportunities are even expanding overseas.
